Medium-sized beaked whale (7-9m) found exclusively in North Atlantic deep waters, renowned for extreme diving ability reaching 2,339m depth for up to 130 minutes. Males develop distinctive flattened square melon with age, while females retain more rounded foreheads. Known for curious behavior toward ships and lives in small social groups.
